A pair of Japanese turned wood dolls in the kokeshi style, featuring nodding bobblehead mechanisms. The pair consists of a male and female figure, possibly representing a bride and groom in traditional attire. Each doll is hand-painted with polychrome pigments and finished with a light lacquer or varnish. The male figure is depicted with a tall black hat and a blue kimono decorated with stylised floral motifs and vertical stripes. The female figure features an elaborate hairstyle adorned with a pink ribbon and a small wooden hair ornament, wearing a kimono with green, blue, and red sections featuring cherry blossom (sakura) designs. Both dolls bear hand-painted markings or signatures on the front of their bodies; the blue-bodied figure has a mark in reddish-brown paint, while the green-bodied figure has a mark in dark grey paint. These figures date to the mid-20th century Showa era.
