This lot comprises two brass bed warming pans of varying sizes. The larger antique pan features a hinged lid decorated with an engraved Chinoiserie-style scene, depicting a pagoda amongst trees and water with birds in flight. It is fitted with a long, dark-stained turned wooden handle secured by a brass collar. The smaller decorative pan features a hinged lid with a relief-cast brass emblem of a horse head in profile and is fitted with a shorter turned wooden handle of similar design. Both items are constructed from brass with turned wooden components. No maker’s marks are visible on either piece.
