The complete unit features a square-sided clear glass jar embossed with BLOW and MADE IN ENGLAND. It is fitted with a metal screw-top lid and an integrated red-painted metal gear housing embossed with Blow in cursive script. The mechanism is operated by a metal crank with a red-painted wooden handle, driving a four-blade wooden paddle mounted on a central metal shaft. The jar retains a worn paper label identifying the item as a THE BRITISH Blow Butter Churn. The second item is a separate lid and crank mechanism of matching design, also featuring a red-painted housing and a wooden paddle assembly, though it is missing the wooden handle grip and the glass jar.
