A late 19th or early 20th-century folding occasional table of Arts and Crafts influence. The octagonal top is constructed from stained hardwood and features elaborate hand-executed chip-carving. The geometric decoration includes a central starburst rosette within a circular frame, flanked by four radiating fan motifs and panels of cross-hatched lattice work. The entire design is enclosed by a repeating chevron-patterned border. The table is supported by a folding X-frame base with two turned cylindrical cross-stretchers. The wood appears to be a stained hardwood such as beech or birch. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the piece.
