A pair of vintage die-cast toy biplanes featuring characters from the Noddy series by Enid Blyton, attributed to ERTL. The lot comprises a green biplane piloted by Big Ears and a yellow biplane piloted by Noddy. The fuselages and wings are constructed from die-cast metal, while the character figures, propellers, undercarriages, and wheels are made of plastic.
The green plane features the name NODDY in yellow lettering across the top wing. The underside of the green wing bears embossed marks transcribed as © NODDY ENTERPRISES LTD, LICENSED BY B.B. ENTERPRISES LTD, and a date partially visible as 19[…]. The black plastic base of the fuselage is marked with the silver-tone printed code L 1494G.
The yellow plane features the name NODDY in red lettering across the top wing, split by the cockpit opening. The underside of the wing is embossed with © NODDY SUBSIDIARY RIGHTS CO. LTD. 1985 and MADE IN CHINA.
Both models are designed with a push-along free-wheeling action and manually rotating red plastic propellers.
