An Art Deco aneroid barometer housed in a dark-stained, stepped solid oak case. The square dial features a central circular aperture revealing the internal mechanism and is equipped with two indicators: a blue hand for rising air pressure and a red hand for falling air pressure. The face is printed with detailed weather forecasts corresponding to pressure changes, including Change of Weather Ahead, Chiefly Fair and Dry for some Time, and South-East Storms and Rain. The case displays geometric skyscraper-style stepped detailing characteristic of the mid-20th century. A gilt metal inner bezel surrounds the glass face.
