A silver-plated transverse flute in C, comprising three sections: headjoint, body joint and C-footjoint. The barrel of the body joint is engraved with a mark featuring the letters BOOSEY arranged vertically to the left and & HAWKES arranged vertically to the right of a central BH logo containing a lyre symbol. Below the logo is the word LONDON and the model name EMPEROR in a sans-serif font. The serial number 374240 is stamped vertically to the right of the main mark. The instrument is constructed from silver-plated metal, with visible wear to the tenons revealing a yellow base metal. A metal cleaning rod is included. The flute is housed in a brown leatherette-covered hard case with a red plush-lined interior.
