14th Century Mamluk Qur’an Folio – Chapter 7, Verses 162–165
Thought to be a framed 14th-century Mamluk Qur’an (Quran, Koran) folio, attributable to Egypt or Syria, written in black Arabic naskh script on paper. Verse endings are indicated by gold rosettes accented with blue and gold dots, complemented by red punctuation, black vocalisation, and gold and blue marginal medallions. The folio survives from a Qur’an that underwent partial deterioration over time; no intact manuscripts or bifolios have been cut to produce this page. The text comprises Surah al-A‘raf (The Heights), verses 162–165.
