A Royal Ulster Constabulary (R.U.C.) peaked cap manufactured by Thomas and Lawton (T&L), Liverpool. The cap is constructed from rifle green wool cloth with a black patent leather peak and a matching black patent leather chin strap, which is secured by two plain black side buttons. Centred on the front is a post-1953 stay-brite anodised aluminium cap badge featuring a harp surmounted by a Queen’s Crown, mounted on a specific red cloth shaped backing. The interior is finished with a red fabric lining and a brown leather sweatband. A printed label on the sweatband records the maker as T&L Liverpool.
