This hand-carved hardwood sculpture is of a tapered, spindle-like form. The central section features a dense, high-relief frieze of various animals in motion, including an elephant, a spotted feline or ungulate, and a bull. The piece is rendered in an ethnographic folk art style with interlocking figures. It possesses a warm, medium-brown patina and a smooth, hand-polished finish. There are faint incised marks on the side of one of the central figures, possibly reading G Q 1, although these are not clearly legible. The sculpture is carved from a single piece of wood and does not include a base.
