A British Army No. 1 Dress peaked cap belonging to the Royal Regiment of Artillery, dating from the mid-20th century. The cap is constructed from midnight blue wool cloth with a scarlet red wool band and scarlet piping around the crown. It is fitted with a brass regimental cap badge featuring a central field gun with a spoked wheel, surmounted by a Tudor Crown. The badge includes scrolls inscribed with the mottoes Ubique and Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt. The cap features a black patent leather peak and a matching patent leather chin strap, which is secured by two small brass buttons.
