A British Army No. 1 Dress uniform peaked cap, of a pattern used by various regiments and corps including the Royal Artillery and the Royal Logistics Corps. The cap is constructed with a dark blue wool felt crown featuring red piping and a prominent red wool felt band around the base. It is fitted with a black patent leather visor with a stitched outer edge and an adjustable black leather chin strap. The strap is secured on each side by a gilt-metal General Service button, embossed with the British Royal Coat of Arms featuring a crown above a shield flanked by lion and unicorn supporters. No interior manufacturer markings or size labels are visible.
