A Moorcroft Pottery ceramic table lamp base in the Pansy pattern. The baluster-shaped body features tubelined decoration depicting stylised pansy flowerheads in shades of plum, purple, and yellow with green foliage. The decoration is set against a background transitioning from ochre and light green at the neck to a deep cobalt blue at the base. The lamp is fitted with a brass-coloured mount and a green conical shade featuring a gold-toned border. It is wired with a modern gold-coloured electrical cord. The underside of the ceramic base is impressed with the marks MOORCROFT and MADE IN ENGLAND. It also bears an incised D within an oval, which is the Moorcroft date cypher for the year 1993. Additional hand-painted marks in green include the initials WM and a symbol resembling a hook or stylized K.
