A pair of glazed ceramic character spoons produced by Border Fine Arts Studio, featuring figures based on the Raymond Briggs book and film The Snowman. One spoon depicts Father Christmas at the handle terminus with a raised red and yellow gift box motif within the bowl. The second spoon features the Snowman and the boy (James) at the handle terminus with a raised brown teddy bear motif in the bowl. Both items are finished in a pale cream glaze.
The reverse of the bowls feature black printed backstamps. The Father Christmas spoon is marked A5076 copyright S. Ent. 2005, copyright RB/BF Ltd. 2005, and copyright 2005 Enesco Ltd. The Snowman spoon is marked A5077 copyright S. Ent. 2005 and copyright 2005 Enesco Ltd. Both items retain original gold foil stickers reading MADE IN CHINA. Each spoon is accompanied by its original blue presentation box bearing an illustrated label with the series title.
