A musical novelty souvenir featuring a miniature shillelagh and a leprechaun figurine mounted on a wooden display base. The miniature shillelagh is constructed from dark-finished wood, featuring a carved and painted rectangular section on the shaft reading Shillelagh in black script between two green three-leaf shamrocks. Further painted shamrocks decorate the flattened head of the stick. The stick is mounted at an angle on a rectangular mahogany-coloured wooden plinth. At the opposite end, a painted ceramic or composite figurine of a seated leprechaun in green clothing and a pointed hat sits atop a raised octagonal platform. The base of the unit is covered in green felt and contains a circular recessed opening for a metal music box winding key. This metal key is embossed with a stylized S device; the device is not legible as a manufacturer name. A small metal pin toggle for the music mechanism is located on the side of the octagonal riser.
