This hot water urn, characteristic of 19th-century British tea service, is constructed with an ovoid copper body and a tinned interior. It sits upon a spreading circular pedestal foot. The vessel is equipped with two scrolled brass handles featuring ribbed ebonised wooden grips. A brass spigot with a decorative scrolled handle is mounted to the front. The domed copper lid is finished with a cast brass finial. No manufacturer marks or stamps were observed during inspection.
